Report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><u>May Monthly Medal<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Congratulations to Glenn Vanderlight for winning May\u2019s Monthly Medal.\u00a0 Glenn was steady through out his whole round scoring nett 2 under on both the front and back nine.\u00a0 Scoring 7 bogeys, 10 pars and 1 birdie to finish 1 shot clear with a nett 68.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Presentation Night<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As all of you aware, the club is again hosting a Presentation Night on May 31<sup>st<\/sup> with special guest Nick O\u2019Hearn.\u00a0 It would be great to see as many members as possible to help celebrate the winners of the past year and to hear how Nick O\u2019Hearn managed to beat Tiger Woods twice in Match Play.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Drouin Family Hotel Challenge<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After 3 rounds in the Family Hotel Challenge, Bob Naismith still holds on to narrow lead.\u00a0 Jake Simpson and Glenn Vanderlight are both tied in 2<sup>nd<\/sup> place 9 points behind while Alex Slaughter is another 71 points further back.\u00a0 Rounding out the top 5 is Cameron Payne who is 164 points of the lead.\u00a0 Full Leaderboard is in the clubhouse.<\/p>\n<p>1.Bob Naismith 509<\/p>\n<p>2.Jake Simpson 500<\/p>\n<p>2.Glenn Vanderlight 500<\/p>\n<p>4.Alex Slaughter 429<\/p>\n<p>5.Cameron Payne 345<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Premier League<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Premier League regular season has now concluded.\u00a0 The semi finals will be played this week with both winning teams going through to the final the following week.\u00a0 Last years runners up Raging Balls finished 2 games clear on top and face up against 4<sup>th<\/sup> Placed Team 14.\u00a0 Fairways to Heaven climbed into 2<sup>nd<\/sup> Place and will play The Cream.\u00a0 Good luck to all 4 teams.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Pennant<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Both the Men\u2019s and Ladies Pennant season came to a close recently.\u00a0 Thank you to all players who represented the club this past season and thank you to the members who came and supported the players during finals.<\/p>\n<p>The Scratch team made the final after being undefeated in the regular season.\u00a0 In a close final match that could have gone either way it was Warragul that eventually came out the winners on the day 4 games to 3.<\/p>\n<p>Handicap 1 also had a strong regular season finishing 2<sup>nd<\/sup> on the ladder winning all but 2 matches.\u00a0 In a semi final contest against a strong Churchill Monash team in which the match was extremely close with 3 games going to the 18<sup>th<\/sup> hole.\u00a0 Unfortunately the result didn\u2019t go our way with Churchill Monash winning 4 games to 3.<\/p>\n<p>The Handicap 2 team finished the regular season strong coming from 5<sup>th<\/sup> place early in the season to finish top of ladder.\u00a0 The final saw a tough match up with Garfield at their home course; while the team was unsuccessful in winning, the score line doesn\u2019t show how close the contest was.\u00a0 Garfield ended up Prevailing 7 games to nil.<\/p>\n<p>The Ladies had quite a few close games during the regular season, managing to win 2 of their matches but unfortunately not able to make the finals.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Captain v Chairperson\u2019s Challenge<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Last Saturday saw the return of the Captain v Chairperson\u2019s Challenge.\u00a0 Well done to all the players representing Andrew\u2019s team who came out on top.\u00a0 The average score was 28.2 to the Chairperson\u2019s Team, while the Captain\u2019s team had an average of 27.7.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Shootout<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Starting in June will be the qualification for the shootout final, which will be held on Sunday the 13<sup>th<\/sup> October.\u00a0 The shootout final will consist of 19 qualifiers who will be eliminated hole by hole until only 1 player is left.\u00a0 Players must register to be eligible to qualify and scores will only be counted after the player has qualified.<\/p>\n<p>That is all for now, but I\u2019ll leave you with
