Captains Report- Presented By Glenn Robinson"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><u>March Monthly Medal<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Congratulations to Jake Simpson who was the winner of the March Monthly Medal.\u00a0 Jake flew out of the blocks early, completing the front nine nett 6 under.<\/p>\n<p>The back nine didn\u2019t start as well, however back to back birdies on the 15<sup>th<\/sup> and 16<sup>th<\/sup> steadied the ship helping to finish with a nett 65 and claim the medal.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Drouin Family Hotel Challenge<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>An impressive final round of the club championships saw Jake Simpson claim the 2023\/24 Family Hotel Challenge.\u00a0 Jake finished with a final points tally of 1093, 140 points clear of runner up Pete Smith.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to Simon Appleby from the Drouin Family Hotel for the generous sponsorship for this challenge.\u00a0 I would like to also thank Shane Dwyer who collates all the points for this competition.<\/p>\n<p>The 2024\/25 Challenge started last Saturday, with the Family Hotel once again sponsoring.\u00a0 Jake Simpson has already put in a claim to go back to back after winning the first round.\u00a0 Geoff Closter and Alex Slaughter are tied for 2<sup>nd<\/sup>, 255 points behind.\u00a0 Full Leaderboard is available in the clubhouse.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Nearest The Pins<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The entering of the NTP\u2019s on the MiScore App seem to be working well, but please remember to use Centimeters when entering your distance.\u00a0 If no one in your group is using the App, you may write your distance on your scorecard and make the Pro Shop attendant aware.\u00a0 Saturday\u2019s winning vouchers are available for collection from the pro shop.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Premier League<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Premier League got under way on Saturday with 14 teams competing this season.\u00a0 Thanks to players who have paid their $10 entry into the competition.\u00a0 Foe those still needing to pay, you can pay me in cash direct or pay cash or card at the pro shop.\u00a0 Fixture and ladder are available in the club currently undefeated, Handicap 1 have won 3 out of their first 4 matches while Handicap 2 had a narrow loss in their opening round.\u00a0 The club are hosting Handicap 2 pennant on Sunday 7<sup>th<\/sup> April and Scratch Pennant on Sunday 21<sup>st<\/sup> April.\u00a0 Members are welcome to come down and support our players on those days.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Upcoming Competitions<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A reminder that Saturday 16<sup>th<\/sup> March is a Shotgun Start for the Don Piner 2 Person Ambrose.\u00a0 There is a morning start at 7:45am and an afternoon start at 12:30pm.\u00a0 While we don\u2019t have many shotgun starts, it is a good way to have plenty of people in the clubhouse at once.<\/p>\n<p>That is all for now, but I\u2019ll leave you with
