April Captain\u2019s Report<\/p>\n

Monthly Medal<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Congratulations to Craig Stevens for winning April\u2019s Monthly Medal. Craig had a terrific front nine, making the turn net 5 under which included 2 birdies.\u00a0 The back nine started well also, with a birdie on the tenth before a stumble on 13, 14 and 16 with double bogies on these holes.\u00a0 A birdie on 17 helped steady the ship and a par to finish was enough to seal the victory by 1 shot.<\/p>\n

Pennant<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

GREAT NEWS<\/u>.\u00a0 Our handicap 2 team has made the Grand Final. With Sunday\u2019s Semi Final being washed out, the team has progressed to the final, courtesy of finishing on top of the ladder.\u00a0 I would like to encourage all members to come and support to help the guys get over the line.\u00a0 The final is being played at Mirboo North this Sunday the 23rd<\/sup> April commencing at 9:00.\u00a0 If anyone coming to support would like transport, please contact myself or Randall and we will organise that for you.<\/p>\n

Cuthbertson Mixed Canadian Foursomes<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

This year it was decided to place our Annual Tournament on hiatus, however we have kept the Cuthbertson Mixed Canadian Foursomes as a stand alone event.\u00a0 This event is on ANZAC Day and there are still spots available for anyone wishing to participate.\u00a0 It is a shotgun start at 12:00 and costs $30 per pair which includes afternoon tea.<\/p>\n

Drouin Family Hotel Challenge<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

The 2023\/24 Drouin Family Hotel Challenge commenced in March and is now 2 rounds in.\u00a0 Craig Stevens is leader courtesy of his win last Saturday, with March Monthly Medal winner Rhys Rata in 2nd<\/sup> Place.\u00a0 Tristan Ashby currently occupies 3rd<\/sup> Place.\u00a0 This competition runs on every monthly medal and club championship round until the final round of next year\u2019s club championship.<\/p>\n

Thanks to the Drouin Family Hotel for their generous contribution to this event.<\/p>\n

Drouin Premier League<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Drouin Premier League kicked off last Saturday with some close games. Full results are available on the link posted below and on the notice board inside the clubhouse.<\/p>\n\"\"\n

Drouin Garfield Challenge<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Drouin\/Garfield Challenge was played on the 25th<\/sup> March at Garfield.\u00a0 We sent 19 players down and unfortunately Garfield was too strong on the day, winning convincingly with an average score of 31.9 to 26.8.<\/p>\n

Golf West Gippsland Championships<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Golf West Gippsland Championships were held at Trafalgar on 19th<\/sup> March.\u00a0 The club had great success with Ryan Hammond taking out the West Gippsland Men\u2019s Championship as well as the Champion of Champions and Shirley Roberts winning the Women\u2019s Club Championship.\u00a0 We also had winners in B Grade with Peter Daniel winning the Morning Handicap Competition and myself winning the Afternoon Handicap.<\/p>\n

Foursomes Championship<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Saturday 13th<\/sup> May will see the annual Foursomes Championships. This event will see both Scratch and Handicap winners being awarded prizes.<\/p>\n
