{"id":2570,"date":"2023-01-03T18:24:49","date_gmt":"2023-01-03T10:24:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.drouingolfclub.com.au\/cms\/?p=2570"},"modified":"2023-06-20T14:03:46","modified_gmt":"2023-06-20T06:03:46","slug":"captains-report-january-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.drouingolfclub.com.au\/cms\/2023\/01\/captains-report-january-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"Captains Report- January 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><u>Drouin Garfield Challenge<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are still looking for a few more players for the Drouin Garfield Challenge, which is being held at Garfield on Saturday 14<sup>th<\/sup> February.\u00a0 If interested please place your name on the list on the notice board or contact me directly.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Plates<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There are some upcoming Plate days in January and February.\u00a0 Thanks to all the members who have participated in these events, we are still looking for a few more players to field teams for these days.\u00a0 Upcoming plates are:<\/p>\n<p>January 15<sup>th<\/sup> Mirboo North<\/p>\n<p>January 22<sup>nd<\/sup> Trafalgar<\/p>\n<p>February 5<sup>th<\/sup> Traralgon<\/p>\n<p>February 5<sup>th<\/sup> Woorayl<\/p>\n<p>February 12<sup>th<\/sup> Foster<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Match Play Championships<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Thanks to all the members who have played their Match Play rounds, a reminder that all Semi Final matches must be completed by January 20<sup>th<\/sup>.\u00a0 The Finals will be played on Saturday January 21<sup>st<\/sup>, with Scratch &amp; A Grade competing over 36 holes teeing off at 7:27 for the morning session and 12:06 for the afternoon.\u00a0 B and C Grades will compete over 18 holes teeing of at 11:57.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Club Championships<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The 2023 Men\u2019s Club Championships will be contested over the first three Saturdays in February.\u00a0 Grades for the Championships are as follows, A Grade 9 or lower, B Grade 10-15, C Grade 16-21 and D Grade 22 or higher.\u00a0 Your daily handicap as of the first round of the Championships will determine the Grade in which you will play.\u00a0 In addition to the Championships a daily stroke event will also be conducted on these 3 days with handicap and conditions the same as a normal daily event.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Master Medal<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The playoff for the Master Medal will be held on Saturday 4<sup>th<\/sup> February.\u00a0 The field for this event consists of the 11 Monthly Medalist from 2022 which are; Ken Cooper, Ray Fish, Lucas Green, Peter Morris, Duart Perrin, Chris Stoker, Kevin O\u2019Brien, Tristan Ashby, Benny Wyatt, Rob Brew &amp; Nick Rowe.\u00a0 The lowest net score from these players will win the 2022 Master Medalist.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>MiScore<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The first competition using the new MiScore system will be Wednesday\u2019s Men\u2019s Competition on January 11<sup>th<\/sup>.\u00a0 Members who haven\u2019t downloaded the App may still use a card similar to the current one.\u00a0 To enter this and future competitions, bookings must be made using the MiClub booking system.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Preferred Lies &amp; Local Rules<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Thanks to some warm and dry weather we have been able to remove the need for Preferred Lies.\u00a0 With the introduction of the new scoring system, our local rules are now available on the MiScore App and can be easily accessed while playing out on the course.<\/p>\n<p>Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and I look forward to seeing you all out on the course.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Glenn Robinson<\/p>\n<p>Captain<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Drouin Garfield Challenge We are still looking for a few more players for the Drouin Garfield [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":41,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":"","_links_to":"","_links_to_target":""},"categories":[4,6,45],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-2570","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-golf","category-members","category-guests"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 -
