{"id":2549,"date":"2022-12-21T11:40:29","date_gmt":"2022-12-21T03:40:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.drouingolfclub.com.au\/cms\/?p=2549"},"modified":"2023-06-20T14:03:46","modified_gmt":"2023-06-20T06:03:46","slug":"december-captains-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.drouingolfclub.com.au\/cms\/2022\/12\/december-captains-report\/","title":{"rendered":"December Captains Report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><u>Home Timber &amp; Hardware Monthly Medal<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Congratulations to Nick Rowe for winning December\u2019s Monthly Medal.\u00a0 A fantastic round of golf saw Nick score 74 off the stick including 3 birdies in his round, giving him a net score of 68 and winning the Medal by 1 stroke.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Master Medal<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The 11 Monthly Medal winners from this year will play of for the Master Medalist of 2022.\u00a0 This event is scheduled for Saturday February 4<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Drouin Family Hotel Challenge<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Not a lot of change at the top of leaderboard after last Saturday\u2019s comp, Peter Morris has moved closer to the top 2 and Duart Perrin has snuck back into the top 5.\u00a0 4 rounds remain in the challenge which is due to finish on the final round of Club Championships.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Mates Day<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There are still a limited number of spots available for Mates Day on the 18<sup>th<\/sup> December, sure to be a great day and not one to miss out on.\u00a0 Please contact the Pro Shop for registrations.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Competition Prizes<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All Grade Winning Competition prizes will now be added to your House Account and can be redeemed over the bar or in the pro shop.\u00a0 These prizes cannot be used to pay for competition entries or annual subscriptions.\u00a0 Down the Line and Nearest The Pin Prizes will stay the same, with recipients receiving a $5 Ball.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Trafalgar Trivia Night<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Trafalgar Golf Club hosted a Trivia Night for their members on the 3<sup>rd<\/sup> December, as well they invited all West Gippsland Clubs to join in and contest for a trophy and bragging rights as the smartest club in West Gippsland.\u00a0 Proud to say we had 5 members represent our club on the night, finishing 4<sup>th<\/sup> out of 12 tables.\u00a0 Most importantly we beat the nominated table from Trafalgar to claim the trophy.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Pennant<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Pennant season for the Handicap divisions is fast approaching, if you haven\u2019t registered your interest yet, please come and see Geoff Searle or myself.\u00a0 We have teams participating in both Division 1 &amp; 2 with the season starting on February 19<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Plates<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Once again thanks to all members who have participated in Plate events, there are still some more taking place in January and February.\u00a0 I encourage members to come along to these days and see how much fun they are.<\/p>\n<p>Januray 8<sup>th<\/sup> \u2013 Garfield Golf Club<\/p>\n<p>January 15<sup>th<\/sup> \u2013 Mirboo North Golf Club<\/p>\n<p>January 22<sup>nd<\/sup> \u2013 Trafalgar Golf Club<\/p>\n<p>February 4<sup>th<\/sup> \u2013 Traralgon Golf Club<\/p>\n<p>In addition to these there will be club\u2019s hosting Plate Days from the South &amp; East Gippsland Districts.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Drouin Garfield Challenge<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Drouin Garfield Challenge is scheduled for January 14<sup>th<\/sup> at Garfield.\u00a0 We are defending champions so it would be great to get a good number of players down there to help defend the trophy.\u00a0 Please check the notice board to place your name down for this event.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Home Timber &amp; Hardware Monthly Medal Congratulations to Nick Rowe for winning December\u2019s Monthly Medal.\u00a0 A [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":41,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":"","_links_to":"","_links_to_target":""},"categories":[6,45],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-2549","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-members","category-guests"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.9 -
