Welcome Mark Bailey to the Team!

Dear Members,

With the new Board focused on the future of our club, it is our endeavor as
requested by a large number of members, to begin to utilize the functionality of
our club to its fullest capacity.

We have done this by selecting Randall Mitchell, as most of you have already met in
the pro shop as General Manager. Randall has an enormous job ahead of him with
the huge administration changes that have accrued over a number of years and is
doing an exceptional job.

Our next step is to expand our catering needs such as food, beverage and
functions. As we have an excellent name with our functions thanks to the current
staff of Raquel and Leanne and others who have done a magnificent job. We would
also like to expand the flexibility of our catering department. This will be done in
small increments in conjunction with members and social demand.

In doing this the Board have taken the next step by employing Mark Bailey who has
extensive experience around the world with catering and entertainment
requirements.

Mark will be employed as Food and Beverage manager and will be responsible to
our General Manager, Randall Mitchell. Mark’s employment will begin on Tuesday 22nd of November 2022 and will be on a 6 month contract that will be reviewed on the expiry of the 6 months. This
appointment will not interfere with Michelle Thomas return to work.

Mates Day

December 18th plays host to our first “mates day” at Drouin Golf & Country Club inviting members and there guest to experience the best our special club has to offer!

With a shotgun start and fun 4BBB competition allowing you to partner up with a mate and play the take the best stableford score for the hole.

Post round there will be a beautiful slow cooked feast for players to enjoy! We encourage members to get involved in this event as we aim to showcase our course and all it has to offer!

If a member can bring two guests they only pay $10!!

If non members book before December 7th they will only pay $20!

Setting Up Default Playing Groups

To add your playing partners, go to “My Information”.

Click “Update” in My Playing Partners

Type your playing partners name(s) into the “Find Partner” fields. You can add/remove players out of your default group by clicking the red  .

When you next click on the “Book Group” button in the timesheet, the system will ask whether you would like to book your playing partners.

• Yes – You and your playing partners will be booked.
• No – Find your players and click “Confirm Booking”.

MiScore Card Scanning Details

Your club is implementing a new scorecard scanning system in conjunction with the new booking system. The MiScore card will be used in competition play and will print out specific details for each member on that day of play including name, daily handicap, tee time and tee colour. The card is marked the traditional way on the left hand side of the card with the players score and corresponding result and the markers score and corresponding result. In addition to the traditional markings members are required to place a black circle in column corresponding to the player’s gross score. Eg If a player scores 5 for 2 on the first hole a black circle will be entered in the 5 column. This scoring method should be continued until all holes for the round have been completed. If the player whose card you are marking has too many shots on a hole the black circle should be placed in the far right hand column labelled W which represents Wipe. Upon completion of the round the cards should be signed as normal and then entered through the scanners in the score entry area. Once scanned the round result will appear on the screen for confirmation.

MiStats: Now available via the Member Portal

MiStats is a simple but engaging statistics tool designed for golfers to track performance across key statistical measures. Each member’s round of competition play will be added to the statistics database once the competition has closed. Members can then access MiStats through the member portal and pore over the wealth of information. MiStats can be accessed via the widget on the MY INFORMATION page of the member portal.
