Our Club Championships concluded on Saturday in what was a magnificent showcase of competitive golf at Drouin Golf & Country Club.
Over multiple rounds, players were tested across every aspect of their game in near-perfect weather conditions. The standard of golf across all grades was exceptional, with several tightly contested leaderboards heading into the final round.
The final day of competition delivered great energy across the course, with members following key groups and the clubhouse buzzing as scores were posted. Championship pressure was on full display, and the eventual winners demonstrated outstanding composure and resilience when it mattered most.
Championship Highlights
Ryan Hammond further etched his name into club history by securing a remarkable 14th Club Championship title. Hammond produced one of the greatest performances in the club’s championship history, finishing an incredible 22 under par across 54 holes.
His rounds of 66, 65 and a closing nine-under 63 featured 23 birdies and just one bogey for the tournament, ultimately finishing 27 shots clear of the field and setting a new championship benchmark at the club.
In the women’s championship, Sharon Rippon produced a brilliant closing nine holes, finishing her final round at even par to claim her first Club Championship title by three shots. Kay Feaver finished second with a combined score of 267.
Grade Championship Winners

B Grade: Alan Storer secured victory by two shots with a total of 247.

C Grade: Jim Bransgrove claimed a memorable win by four shots with a total of 266, marking his first championship victory in over 30 years as a club member.

D Grade: Graham Austin celebrated an early 90th birthday present by winning by five shots with a total of 283.
Senior and junior divisions also produced outstanding performances:

Senior Champion: Mark Allen claimed his third senior title with a score of 226, winning by 12 shots.

Junior Champion: Zach Bambridge secured his third junior championship title, winning by 19 shots with a total of 226.

The junior girls championship was won by Ciara Davies for the second year, while the net championship produced an extraordinary performance from Penelope Bustos, who finished with an incredible 53 points on Saturday.

The Club Championships remain one of the highlights of the golfing year at Drouin Golf & Country Club and once again demonstrated the depth of talent and spirit within our membership.
