March Monthly Medal
Congratulations to Jake Simpson who was the winner of the March Monthly Medal. Jake flew out of the blocks early, completing the front nine nett 6 under.
The back nine didn’t start as well, however back to back birdies on the 15th and 16th steadied the ship helping to finish with a nett 65 and claim the medal.
Drouin Family Hotel Challenge
An impressive final round of the club championships saw Jake Simpson claim the 2023/24 Family Hotel Challenge. Jake finished with a final points tally of 1093, 140 points clear of runner up Pete Smith.

The 2024/25 Challenge started last Saturday, with the Family Hotel once again sponsoring. Jake Simpson has already put in a claim to go back to back after winning the first round. Geoff Closter and Alex Slaughter are tied for 2nd, 255 points behind. Full Leaderboard is available in the clubhouse.

The entering of the NTP’s on the MiScore App seem to be working well, but please remember to use Centimeters when entering your distance. If no one in your group is using the App, you may write your distance on your scorecard and make the Pro Shop attendant aware. Saturday’s winning vouchers are available for collection from the pro shop.
Premier League
The Premier League got under way on Saturday with 14 teams competing this season. Thanks to players who have paid their $10 entry into the competition. Foe those still needing to pay, you can pay me in cash direct or pay cash or card at the pro shop. Fixture and ladder are available in the club rooms.

Pennant
All 3 teams have started their Pennant seasons. Scratch have played one match and are currently undefeated, Handicap 1 have won 3 out of their first 4 matches while Handicap 2 had a narrow loss in their opening round. The club are hosting Handicap 2 pennant on Sunday 7th April and Scratch Pennant on Sunday 21st April. Members are welcome to come down and support our players on those days.
Upcoming Competitions
A reminder that Saturday 16th March is a Shotgun Start for the Don Piner 2 Person Ambrose. There is a morning start at 7:45am and an afternoon start at 12:30pm. While we don’t have many shotgun starts, it is a good way to have plenty of people in the clubhouse at once.
