The 2024 Club Championships concluded on Saturday, highlighting commendable performances across various grades. Ryan Hammond secured his 13th championship, leading the field by a comfortable 9 shots with a final score of 211.
In the A Grade handicap event, Nick Rowe claimed victory by a slim 1-shot margin, finishing with a nett score of 215. B Grade saw Shane Davidson secure both the scratch and handicap championships with a consistent lead of 3 shots in each category (scratch: 249, handicap: nett 213).
C Grade witnessed Jake Simpson’s impressive double win, finishing 5 shots ahead in scratch (268) and a remarkable 13 shots clear in the handicap (nett 208). D Grade had Bernie Coyle holding on to a narrow 2-stroke lead with a score of 288, while Kane Latham staged a comeback in the handicap category with a nett score of 215.
Fred Roknic celebrated his first senior championship, concluding with a 2-shot lead and a final score of 252. In the Junior Championship, Zach Bambridge secured victories in both the scratch (241) and handicap (220) categories.
